The area is closed to the general public during all hunts except Small Game.

Small Game Season
During the small game season, Dupuis Management Area is open to the public, including hikers and horseback riders. Hunters are allowed throughout the area, but they usually hunt in marshes and fields away from trails and campgrounds. Only shotguns are permitted.
